About.

Fusing a love of traditional country and tempestuous Texas blues — a blend influenced by fellow musical icons George Strait and Stevie Ray Vaughn — Jon Moody proudly adds his own touch to these classic sounds with his natural vocal talent and soulful songwriting skills. He has spent the last three decades latching onto his inherent passion for music and performing, honing in on his individuality and blending genres to create a musical style that is uniquely his own. In 2021, he released his first single “Until You,” a heartwarming crooner ballad that touched thousands of people. The love-themed anthem turned viral, and was played at countless weddings across the world while couples openly shared their gratitude with Moody for the song that will forever be theirs. Several months later in 2022, Moody dropped his self-penned live performance single “Lonely All The Way,” featuring world renowned dobro player Smith Curry (Randy Travis’s “Three Wooden Crosses,” Jason Aldean’s “Why,” Billy Currington’s “Good Directions). His latest release was an ode to country legend Merle Haggard — Moody’s own spin on the classic track “Swinging Doors.”

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Moody’s soulful roots emerged from his local church, where he learned the ropes of gospel and bluegrass. After learning to play the guitar and piano at age 13, Moody picked up the bass guitar and the pedal steel guitar in his late teens and early 20s while performing with local and regional bands throughout Oklahoma and Texas. After taking some time in his 30s to focus on family and graduate from Oklahoma State University with a business degree, Moody found himself longing to get back into his musical roots— prompting his big move to Nashville and the debut of his first single “Until You”--- the track that made him a hit right out of the gate.
